Sr Security Platform Engineer (CyberArk/Venafi)

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada; hybrid work with flexibility to work from the office and virtually

Salary: CAD 90,000–140,000 per year, plus eligibility for bonus and incentive programs

What you will do

• Operate, maintain, and enhance enterprise cryptographic security platforms, including CyberArk Machine Identity Security (Venafi), ISG Crypto Vulnerability Scanner, and HashiCorp Vault.
• Design automation and integration solutions that improve platform scalability, operational efficiency, and security outcomes.
• Deploy, support, and operationalize security technologies, including documentation, RACI development, knowledge transfer, and business-as-usual handover.
• Analyze information systems, lead enterprise security initiatives, evaluate new technologies through proofs of concept, and implement security solutions.
• Implement risk-driven controls, support audits, manage system capacity and resiliency, and recommend strategies to address business risks.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents, maintain cyber security playbooks, and participate in 24x7 on-call and major incident management.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of information security and engineering experience with enterprise security technologies, cryptography, and machine identity security.
• At least 3 years of experience leading global information security projects and managing third-party security service providers.
• Expertise with CyberArk MIS (Venafi), ISG Crypto Vulnerability Scanner, HashiCorp Vault, enterprise PKI, SSL/TLS certificate lifecycle management, and machine identity security.
• Strong infrastructure and DevOps foundation across Linux, Windows, Active Directory, SSO, authentication and authorization protocols, AWS, Azure, databases, Splunk, ServiceNow, and Jira.
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, OpenShift, EKS, incident response, detection engineering, endpoint security, intrusion detection, email security, networking, load balancers, firewalls, and web application firewalls.
• Bachelor’s degree, college diploma, or equivalent experience; strong communication skills and experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.

Nice to have

• CISSP, CCSP, GIAC, CompTIA, CCNP Security, or equivalent certification.
