Senior Product Cybersecurity Engineer (Platform Security)

Location: Montreal, Quebec, Canada; the role may include direct onboard ship deployments.

Salary: CAD 102,000–152,000 annually.

What you will do

• Assess, implement, configure, and maintain cybersecurity and IT technologies within the Integrated Platform Management System.
• Strengthen security across the full development lifecycle, from system design through deployment.
• Identify, assess, prioritize, and remediate vulnerabilities based on risk and impact.
• Develop scripts, tools, and automation to improve cybersecurity operations and contribute to security-relevant code.
• Define and document cybersecurity requirements for software components and support compliance with security standards.
• Guide software development, DevOps, and Integration & Test teams on cybersecurity priorities and implementation.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of cybersecurity experience as a senior IT/security administrator, security engineer, or security architect in engineering-driven product development environments.
• Extensive Linux administration experience, including identity and access management, RBAC, system hardening, patching, SSH, certificates, and PKI lifecycle management.
• Experience with identity security, LDAP, Active Directory, RADIUS, TACACS+, privileged access management, and access governance.
• Experience designing secure networks with segmentation, firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, Zero Trust, IPsec, TLS, NAC, and secure routing or switching.
• Knowledge of secure software development, OWASP vulnerabilities, threat modeling, penetration testing, SAST, DAST, and SCA.
• Fluent English is required. French proficiency is an asset. Candidates must be eligible for the Controlled Goods Program and able to obtain and maintain Canadian Reliability and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret clearances.

Nice to have

• Experience with vulnerability management, endpoint security, virtualization, containerization, configuration management, and infrastructure as code.
• Experience with PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ansible, and Terraform.
• Familiarity with SIEM, EDR/XDR, vulnerability scanning, Atlassian tools, Agile, and Scrum.
• Cybersecurity certifications such as Security+, CySA+, Linux+/RHCSA, GIAC, or OSCP.
