What you will do

• Own infrastructure operations for the Virginia data center as the senior technical point of contact.
• Improve infrastructure software, hardware tooling, deployment processes, connectivity, and user experience.
• Provide technical oversight and project management for large-scale technology rollouts and facility buildouts.
• Monitor capacity, troubleshoot complex production issues, and serve as an escalation point for infrastructure support.
• Coordinate with director-level stakeholders and partner departments to integrate tools, systems, and projects.
• Manage contractors and vendors, promote operational best practices, and coach and mentor engineers.

Requirements

• Significant experience in data center or enterprise infrastructure operations, including hardware, networking, and systems support.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• Experience leading technical projects and rollouts from planning through delivery.
• Experience with alerting, monitoring, incident management, and production support.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-departmental and director-level audiences.
• Experience coaching and mentoring engineers.

Nice to have

• Vendor and contractor relationship management, especially with telecom providers.
• Experience with hybrid on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
• Scripting or automation used to improve operational tooling and deployment.
• Experience with facility buildouts, colocation, regional services, ITSM, or DCIM tooling.
