Salesforce Agentforce Architect (Technical Architect) (AI)

Location: Remote - United States; travel up to 25% for customer projects and company events.

Annual salary: $87,400–$266,300 USD, depending on location, role, skills, and experience.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end technical solution design for Agentforce, Salesforce Data 360, and the broader Salesforce platform.
• Design agent topics, instructions, actions, automations, deployment methods, supporting data structures, and grounding strategies.
• Build scalable and secure data architectures, including DLOs, DMOs, identity resolution, real-time activation, retrievers, and search indexes.
• Define Salesforce integrations with third-party systems and oversee projects from design through development, testing, and deployment.
• Lead design reviews, code reviews, mentoring, development standards, agent evaluation, guardrails, and Einstein Trust Layer considerations.
• Collaborate with customers, project managers, architects, developers, and designers while contributing to reusable delivery assets.

Requirements

• 6+ years of application and software development experience, including 4+ years with Salesforce in development or technical architecture.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• Proficiency in Apex and JavaScript, with working knowledge of modern languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
• Experience with Salesforce Flows, Lightning Web Components or Visualforce, Agentforce agents, workflows, automations, and Data 360.
• Experience designing REST API integrations, front-end web solutions using HTML/CSS, source-control and pull-request strategies, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
• Strong communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts to developers, customers, and executives; a valid passport must be maintained while employed.

Nice to have

• Experience with agentic AI, generative AI, Agentforce Agent Script, RAG, unstructured DMOs, retrievers, search indexes, and identity resolution.
• Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer II, Agentforce Specialist, Data Cloud Consultant, Application or System Architect, or Claude Certified Architect.
• Consulting or professional services experience leading technical workstreams on customer engagements.
• Experience with additional Salesforce Clouds, Enhanced Chat, Omni-Channel, Amazon Connect, AWS, GCP, AWS Lambda, Claude Code, or similar AI coding agents.
