Registered Nurse, RN - Oncology Infusion, Outpatient, Per Diem (Oncology Infusion)

Location: Lowell General Hospital in Lowell, Massachusetts, United States; onsite outpatient infusion room

Pay range: $37.50–$56.41 per hour, based on full-time equivalent.

What you will do

• Provide direct professional nursing care to oncology and hematology patients and their families in an NP-led outpatient infusion room.
• Assess patients, document findings, and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care.
• Apply nursing judgment, evidence-based practice, and research to changing patient needs.
• Educate patients and families, support informed decisions, and coordinate discharge plans and referrals.
• Manage patient assignments through effective delegation and collaboration with physicians and the healthcare team.
• Support new staff, precept colleagues, participate in committees, and pursue professional development.

Requirements

• Current Massachusetts RN licensure required.
• 12 months to less than 3 years of RN experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Department-specific certifications relevant to oncology and the patient population may be required.
• Knowledge of the nursing process and ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and the healthcare team.
• Ability to lift 30–35 pounds occasionally, stand and walk for extended periods, and work around infectious diseases, blood-borne pathogens, and potentially carcinogenic chemicals.
