What you will do

• Assess and reassess patients and families to identify ongoing care needs, risks, referrals, and support requirements.
• Collect and analyze information for new patients, triage cases, and coordinate appointments for multidisciplinary oncology clinics.
• Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and clinical and administrative staff to develop and coordinate care plans.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about diagnoses, therapies, testing, and the care process.
• Support transitions of care, delegate appropriately, and serve as a clinical resource for non-clinical staff.
• Maintain patient safety, current nursing competency, professional development, and effective teamwork.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse program completion and an active Illinois RN license required.
• Current nursing experience within the past five years required.
• Current Basic Life Support certification required.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, critical-thinking, delegation, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
• Ability to maintain clinical knowledge through ongoing education and professional development.

Nice to have

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Oncology Certified Nurse certification.
