Registered Nurse - Special Care Nursery (Healthcare)

Location: 1 Kish Hospital Dr., DeKalb, Illinois, United States; onsite, day shift

Salary: USD 36.50–58.40 per hour

What you will do

• Assess patients and families across physical, psychological, emotional, cultural, and developmental needs.
• Develop, update, and implement individualized nursing plans of care with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Administer medications and treatments safely, provide pain management, and educate patients and families.
• Monitor patient responses, diagnostic data, and changes in condition, initiating appropriate nursing interventions.
• Coordinate communication with physicians, hospital departments, community agencies, and other healthcare providers.
• Document assessments, treatments, patient responses, education, discharge planning, and quality of care.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; an Associate Degree in Nursing is acceptable with a commitment to obtain a BSN within three years of starting the clinical nurse role.
• Current Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required.
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and analytical abilities.
• Onsite work at the Kish hospital location in DeKalb, Illinois is required.
