Power System Protection Engineer

Location: Lewis Center, Ohio, United States; the position requires 25% travel.

Salary: $85,000–$170,400 per year.

What you will do

• Provide customers with guidance on applying power system protection technologies and solutions.
• Design demonstrations that show how new technologies and solutions improve power systems.
• Answer protection product questions and provide troubleshooting support to identify root causes.
• Analyze protective relay responses to power system faults and teach customers about relay applications.
• Contribute to white papers, application guides, industry journals, and technical papers.
• Share product feedback with Research and Development and collaborate with engineers on applications and process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience with power system protection and relays.
• Experience with utility and/or industrial power systems, especially protection, control, and operations.
• Strong customer relationship, communication, presentation, problem-solving, and learning skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to travel 25% and work in Lewis Center, Ohio.
