Senior Mechanical Global Supply Manager (Mechanical Manufacturing)

Location: San Bruno, California, United States; international travel of 20–30% is required.

Estimated base salary: $190,000–$220,000 per year, excluding benefits and potential equity.

What you will do

• Identify, qualify, and manage global suppliers for mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and materials.
• Review designs, drawings, manufacturing processes, and DFM opportunities across machining, injection molding, casting, and assembly.
• Manage the mechanical supply chain from supplier selection through delivery to production facilities.
• Lead supplier negotiations, cost-reduction initiatives, and supply chain optimization.
• Partner with engineering, product development, manufacturing, logistics, and quality teams on sourcing and production decisions.
• Monitor supplier performance, mitigate supply risks, manage inventory, and support compliance and sustainability goals.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, or sourcing focused on mechanical components or manufacturing.
• Experience with global sourcing and management of diverse international supplier networks.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical manufacturing processes, mechanical design, and material science.
• Strong negotiation, communication, relationship-building, and analytical skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, supply chain management, manufacturing engineering, or a related field.
• Willingness to travel internationally 20–30% to manage supplier relationships, production, demand planning, quality, and on-time delivery at global manufacturing sites.
