Project Engineer

Location: Westminster, Colorado — on-site; frequent visits to active construction and industrial sites and up to 10% travel required.

Salary: $95,000–$105,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Support day-to-day construction project execution while monitoring scope, schedules, budgets, contracts, and potential project impacts.
• Maintain RFIs, submittals, change orders, drawings, specifications, permits, correspondence, and other project records.
• Update schedules, track costs, review invoices, assist with forecasting, and maintain project budgets and performance metrics.
• Coordinate procurement, material and equipment deliveries, subcontractor onboarding, contract administration, and compliance monitoring.
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to resolve project challenges.
• Support field operations and closeout while promoting safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and adherence to project requirements.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent education and construction experience.
• Experience in construction, project engineering, or a related field, with an understanding of construction methods, documentation, contracts, scheduling, and procurement.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, RFIs, and submittals.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, time-management, written communication, and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work on-site and visit active construction, industrial, fabrication, and operational facilities while complying with PPE and safety requirements.

Nice to have

• Internship or field experience in electrical, mechanical, industrial, commercial, or construction projects.
• Experience with commercial, industrial, federal, energy, manufacturing, or infrastructure projects.
• Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar construction management software.
• Exposure to project scheduling, cost tracking, procurement, and contract administration.
• Engineer-in-Training certification or pursuit of professional licensure.
