Project Engineer I (Manufacturing)

Salary: $71,410–$107,110 per year

What you will do

• Manage assigned standard engineering and capital projects from design through installation, startup, and post-project support.
• Prepare project requests, engineering analyses, cost-impact assessments, contractor bid packages, and project documentation.
• Create, revise, and maintain plant drawings using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
• Coordinate with plant engineering, corporate engineering, maintenance, production, and plant staff.
• Track project costs, purchase materials, support annual maintenance budgeting, and maintain the long-term capital plan.
• Supervise outside contractors and support contractor safety and Process Safety Management programs.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in engineering or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in production processing, maintenance, engineering, or supervision.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
• Strong PC skills, including Windows, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to interpret technical, safety, operating, and maintenance documentation and solve practical engineering problems.
• Ability to work at the Richland, Washington plant, including walking through the plant, climbing stairs and ladders, and working around moving equipment, chemicals, wet conditions, and high noise levels.
