Embedded Software Lead Engineer (Avionics)

What you will do

• Serve as the primary software technical authority for Lynx surveillance products and related software architectures.
• Lead technical investigations, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex software defects and field issues.
• Support software architecture, design, implementation, integration, verification, certification, and product sustainment.
• Review software requirements, design artifacts, source code, test procedures, and verification evidence.
• Evaluate the impact of hardware changes, system modifications, regulatory requirements, and customer requests.
• Coordinate technical direction with systems, hardware, verification, program management, customer, supplier, and certification teams while mentoring software engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• Significant experience developing embedded software with C/C++ and supporting complex real-time embedded systems.
• Strong software architecture, debugging, problem-solving, and full software development lifecycle experience.
• Experience leading technical efforts and influencing engineering direction without formal supervisory authority.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to engineering and non-engineering stakeholders.
• Experience or knowledge related to avionics, surveillance systems, certified airborne software, DO-178C, requirements management, verification, configuration management, or fielded product sustainment.
