hirify.global is incubating Sauron, a home security company developing AI-powered devices that combine cameras, sensors, and nonlethal deterrence to protect homes and property.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain embedded Linux platforms from board support package through application level.
• Define on-device software architectures with electrical, mechanical, perception/ML, backend, and mobile teams.
• Drive features through design, implementation, validation, and production rollout.
• Diagnose fleet issues using remote telemetry and hardware test platforms while establishing logging and observability standards.
• Own the on-device video pipeline from RTSP camera ingest to perception, local recording, and low-latency WebRTC viewing.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional device-software development experience for hardware products.
• Experience with embedded or constrained Linux systems, C/C++, and highly reliable multithreaded code.
• Hands-on experience with real-time video pipelines using GStreamer or FFmpeg/libav, plus RTSP/RTP and H.264/H.265.
• Strong software lifecycle practices, including code reviews, version control, testing, CI, and on-hardware validation.
• Experience with custom Yocto distributions, ARM TrustZone, OP-TEE, WebRTC, HLS, or hardware-accelerated video on embedded SoCs is valuable.

Nice to have

• Experience with ICE, LiveKit or other SFUs, V4L2, Jetson, VA-API, gRPC/protobuf, and OpenTelemetry.
• Background contributing to or growing high-performance software teams.
