Customs Brokerage Specialist (Logistics)

Location: Onsite in Irving, Texas, United States. Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Salary: USD 21.14–29.59 per hour.

What you will do

• Provide customer service and resolve issues affecting the timely release and movement of freight and cargo.
• Prepare, analyze, and submit customs documentation to U.S. Customs, agents, clients, and other relevant parties.
• Manage entry verification, processing, reconciliation, pre-arrival activities, and post-entry exception resolution.
• Resolve billing, banking, letter of credit, payment, and account adjustment issues.
• Coordinate with customers, correspondent brokers, service providers, internal departments, and business partners.
• Maintain exception logs, operational trend reports, customer records, and accurate computer data.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 12 months of brokerage, transportation, or customer service experience; customs brokerage experience is required.
• Knowledge of HTS classification, the harmonized tariff system, U.S. Customs regulations, and applicable federal requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and standard office equipment.
• Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving, and detail-oriented skills.
• Ability to handle high-volume, time-sensitive work independently with minimal supervision.

Nice to have

• More than one year of experience with classification and the harmonized tariff system.
