Colocation Engineer (West)

Location: Dallas, TX, United States; up to 25% travel to data centers within the region. A current US driver's license and passport are required.

What you will do

• Support sales and product teams with technical solutions and RFP responses.
• Design, present, and evaluate customer colocation solutions, including preliminary drawings.
• Coordinate with Operations and Capacity teams to determine sellable space and power at colocation sites.
• Select equipment that meets customer specifications and hirify.global standards.
• Create colocation layouts, infrastructure drawings, and complete Scope of Work packages using AutoCAD.
• Maintain as-built and redlined drawings and participate in customer meetings, project scope reviews, and site tours.

Requirements

• Colocation or data center design experience is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferred.
• Working knowledge of data center power, cooling, security, and communications infrastructure.
• Expertise with MS Word, MS Excel, AutoCAD, Visio, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Ability to read construction documents, manage multiple deadlines, and work independently and collaboratively.
• Current US driver's license and passport required; travel up to 25% within the region.
