Technician III, Maintenance

Location: Rochester, New York, USA — onsite at the plant

Salary: $48,594–$69,420 annually; compensation up to $83,000 annually plus benefits.

What you will do

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production machinery and plant utility systems.
• Maintain and repair compressors, chillers, HVAC systems, steam systems, condensate equipment, and other facility equipment.
• Troubleshoot complex production equipment and complete emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
• Calibrate instrumentation and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, control, and basic electrical systems.
• Read technical documentation, complete maintenance records and work orders, identify replacement parts, and coordinate with suppliers.
• Document equipment modifications and update as-built drawings when required.

Requirements

• Associate degree in a technical discipline, or high school diploma/GED with at least three years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Two to three years of hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and basic electrical systems.
• Experience supporting manufacturing equipment in a production environment.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical specifications, equipment manuals, and work orders.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn ERP systems such as SAP.
• Ability to complete required safety training and work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying environmental conditions.

• Experience with food, beverage, or fermentation manufacturing processes.
• Experience supporting both production equipment and utility systems.
• Experience with instrumentation calibration and continuous improvement initiatives.
