Engineering Technician II (Semiconductor)

Location: Austin, TX, United States. Onsite work involving manufacturing areas, clean rooms, equipment, tools, and physical industrial activities. Second-shift schedule.

Salary: $21.50–$29.20 per hour.

What you will do

• Perform routine to moderately complex testing, checkout, fabrication, modification, troubleshooting, and assembly of electronic and electromechanical systems.
• Test and troubleshoot system-level and component-level electrical and mechanical problems.
• Support new system and NPI installations, field upgrades, rework, and quality notifications.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process testing on semiconductor manufacturing platforms.
• Work from schematics, diagrams, layouts, plans, and written or verbal technical descriptions.
• Maintain logbooks, test procedures, safety documentation, and a clean and secure work environment.

Requirements

• Analytical skills and the ability to apply scientific methods to technical work.
• Ability to recognize and solve typical problems using established procedures or scientific methods.
• Ability to use hand and power tools and operate heavy machinery, including forklifts.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including prolonged standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, reaching, and lifting.
• Ability to work in noisy environments and, when required, use clean-room personal protective equipment such as coveralls, respirators, gloves, and face shields.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and information exchange.
