Manufacturing Technician II (Semiconductor)

Location: Austin, TX, United States; onsite in a cleanroom manufacturing environment

Salary: $20.00–$27.50 per hour

What you will do

• Build, repair, and test electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum, and pneumatic assemblies, subassemblies, and components.
• Use work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, parts lists, and instructions to complete manufacturing operations.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform repairs under moderate supervision.
• Receive and audit parts, inspect components for defects, and improve manufacturing processes.
• Use test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors, and vacuum pumps to test assemblies.
• Complete job documentation and perform data entry, programming, software installation, or related repairs when needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• 1–2 years of semiconductor or display experience, or comparable industry or military experience.
• Ability to follow written and verbal standard operating procedures.
• Knowledge of basic hand tools.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, lift, work in tight spaces, use hand and power tools, and operate heavy machinery such as forklifts.
• Ability to work with required personal protective equipment in a cleanroom and distinguish between colors.

• Associate’s degree, technical education, certifications, or relevant training.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills using established procedures or scientific methods.
• ASSEET or BSEET education, including DeVry or TSTC training.
