Controller (Robotics)

Location: Redwood City, California, United States; on-site

Salary: $225,000–$275,000 per year plus equity

hirify.global is building personal home robots designed to reduce repetitive household work and make generalized robotics broadly accessible.

What you will do

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close under US GAAP.
• Move accounting in-house from an external bookkeeper and establish scalable accounting operations.
• Select and implement a manufacturing-ready ERP, including chart of accounts, inventory, bills of materials, and costing.
• Design product costing and COGS methodologies, including standard costs, overhead allocation, and accruals.
• Build and lead the accounting and financial operations team while designing internal controls.
• Manage audit readiness, tax advisors, vendor payments, and accounting treatment for supplier, manufacturing, and compute agreements.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Public accounting background; Big Four experience is strongly preferred.
• Hands-on ERP implementation experience in a manufacturing or hardware environment.
• Hands-on inventory and product cost accounting experience.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge across revenue, capitalization, software, intellectual property, leases, and equity compensation.
• Experience leading external audits and building finance processes from scratch at a fast-growing company.

Nice to have

• CPA certification.
• Controller or Assistant Controller experience at a venture-backed hardware, robotics, autonomous vehicle, or consumer electronics company.
• Experience taking a company from pre-revenue to commercial launch.
• Experience with contract manufacturers in Asia.
• Experience with modern spend and automation tools such as Ramp.
