Operations Controller (Manufacturing)

Location: On-site at the headquarters in American Fork, Utah, United States. Must be authorized to work in the United States.

What you will do

• Own monthly reconciliations and variance analysis for raw materials, work in progress, finished goods, inventory reserves, and related general ledger accounts.
• Lead cycle counting, year-end physical inventory counts, standard cost updates, and ongoing maintenance of labor, overhead, material, BOM, and routing costs.
• Oversee accounting for fixed assets created from deployed inventory, including capitalization, depreciation, and subledger reconciliation.
• Serve as the accounting lead for the Oracle ERP project, validating BOMs, routings, and manufacturing cost setups.
• Own inventory, cost of goods sold, and fixed asset portions of monthly and annual close processes and support internal and external audits.
• Improve processes and internal controls while partnering with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Operations; review junior staff work and provide mentorship.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including substantial cost accounting, inventory accounting, or manufacturing/plant accounting experience.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP for inventory, cost accounting, and fixed assets, including standard costing and variance analysis.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables, plus experience with a major ERP or accounting system.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work directly with Manufacturing and Supply Chain teams.
• Authorization to work in the United States and availability for on-site work in American Fork, Utah.

Nice to have

• CPA or CMA certification, or active pursuit of either certification.
• Experience supporting an Oracle ERP implementation, especially inventory and manufacturing modules.
• Experience with annual standard cost roll processes and BOM/routing validation.
• Experience in a rapidly scaling company and previous people management experience.
