Associate Product Manager (Contracting/Action Processing)

Location: Hybrid role based in Santa Barbara, California, or Seattle, Washington, United States

Salary: $85,000–$95,000 per year, plus a 5% variable annual bonus and potential RSU grant.

What you will do

• Drive focused feature slices for Action Processing and Contracting, including commission behavior, terms, audience rules, lists, and contract workflows.
• Write user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, and Markdown specifications that engineers can implement without ambiguity.
• Partner with Engineering to identify risks, blockers, dependencies, edge cases, and acceptance gaps during delivery.
• Use AI tools for drafting specifications, research synthesis, prototyping, analysis, and workflow acceleration while validating outputs.
• Maintain backlog clarity, facilitate working sessions, and coordinate with Engineering, Design, Customer Success, Technical Services, Product Marketing, and adjacent product teams.
• Track success metrics, communicate roadmap plans, and develop expertise in Action Processing and Contracting domain mechanics.

Requirements

• Early-career product experience, technical product experience, founder or builder experience, or equivalent evidence of operating at this level.
• Degree in engineering, computer science, or a closely related technical field with a strong academic record.
• Technical curiosity and comfort analyzing source data, reading APIs, schemas, logs, tickets, and engineering design notes.
• Experience using AI tools in practical work and writing structured requirements in Markdown or a similar format.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, follow-through, prioritization, and ability to work with engineers and designers in an agile environment.
• Customer empathy and interest in contracting, action processing, terms, monetization, and partner workflows.

Nice to have

• Personal projects, prototypes, or scripts built with AI agents or coding assistants.
• Exposure to marketplace, fintech, SaaS monetization, contracting, or partner and platform products.
• Experience triaging customer or support requests and working with Customer Success or field teams.
