Associate Director, Sr. Portfolio Manager - Project Finance and Infrastructure

Location: Columbus, OH, United States. Workplace type: Office; the position may be filled at any Huntington Bank corporate office location, with specific work arrangements provided by the hiring team.

Salary: $70,000–$161,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for applicable incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Underwrite project finance and non-recourse senior debt transactions across power, renewable energy, midstream, transportation, and P3 sectors.
• Analyze financial statements, projection models, project cash flows, market trends, and other credit data to support approval decisions.
• Recommend capital structures, manage amendments and waivers, and monitor the financial performance of portfolio companies.
• Manage due diligence, approvals, execution, and financing documentation, including credit agreements, notes, pledges, and collateral.
• Support syndicated credit transactions, loan origination, distribution, marketing presentations, and client pitch materials.
• Identify potential problem accounts, protect the bank’s position, and mentor junior professionals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in project finance underwriting, credit, or portfolio management.
• Competence in financial modeling and strong knowledge of corporate banking credit, cash flow analysis, and underwriting guidelines.
• Detailed understanding of project structures, construction risk management, operations and maintenance, off-take agreements, and financing documentation.
• Ability to independently analyze credits and communicate findings clearly, with strong analytical, written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong knowledge of US power and energy markets, regulatory environments, and renewable energy project finance.

Nice to have

• Experience with back-leverage transactions, community solar, distributed generation, gas-fired power, LNG, or transmission assets.
• Experience working with renewable energy project finance portfolios.
