Premium Audit Supervisor (Insurance)

Location: Hybrid in Hamilton, New Jersey, United States; occasional overnight travel may be required.

What you will do

• Supervise regional commercial premium audit operations and monitor audit-cycle performance.
• Resolve or escalate disputed audits, classification issues, and discrepancies between audit information and policy statements.
• Oversee and complete complex commercial-lines audits involving bookkeeping, payroll, accounting, and earned-premium analysis.
• Develop department procedures, administrative reports, quality reviews, and operational improvements.
• Organize training plans for new and less experienced premium audit employees and provide ongoing feedback.
• Collaborate with claims, underwriting, accounting, safety management, agents, and insureds.

Requirements

• 5+ years of premium audit experience.
• APA designation or progress toward completing APA.
• Knowledge of insurance manuals, premium audit manuals, handbooks, guides, and related materials.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including auditing software and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain audit decisions to agents and insureds.
• Valid state-issued driver's license in good standing; ability to climb stairs and occasionally carry 20 pounds.
