Senior Underwriter / Account Executive Officer - Select (Commercial Lines)

Location: Centennial, Colorado, United States. Full-time role requiring regular in-person meetings with agents and brokers and travel to those meetings.

Annual base salary: $104,000–$171,700, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do

• Manage the profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of commercial business.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex property and casualty accounts.
• Analyze risks and accept, decline, modify, rate, or quote accounts according to underwriting standards.
• Build relationships with internal partners, agents, and brokers while identifying cross-selling opportunities.
• Partner with Sales Executives to develop and write new business.
• Collaborate with underwriting leadership and support the training and mentoring of less-experienced Account Executives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least four years of experience in underwriting, claims, operations, risk assessment, actuarial work, sales, product, or finance.
• Six to eight years of relevant underwriting experience, including commercial lines experience.
• Deep knowledge of commercial lines products and advanced critical-thinking skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills for working with agents and brokers.
• CPCU designation.
