Accounts Receivable Analyst (Insurance)

Location: Atlanta, GA, United States; hybrid schedule requiring two days in the office weekly

Salary: $60,000–$70,000 annually, plus performance-based bonus

What you will do

• Process, categorize, document, prioritize, and resolve accounts receivable requests through Zendesk, shared mailboxes, and approved service channels.
• Review remittances and apply customer and broker payments to open receivables.
• Research payment discrepancies, posting delays, unapplied cash, credits, debits, refunds, and other account variances.
• Maintain operational logs, follow up on aging items, process account-maintenance requests, and support collections.
• Prepare month-end and year-end schedules and provide organized evidence for internal and external audits.
• Identify recurring issues and process gaps and recommend practical improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Approximately 3–6 years of experience in accounts receivable, cash application, finance operations, shared services, or a related financial role.
• Working knowledge of payment application, account research, reconciliations, aging, and collections.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for organizing, filtering, comparing, and analyzing transactional data.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, organization, follow-through, and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Ability to work in the Atlanta office two days per week as part of the hybrid schedule.

Nice to have

• Experience in insurance, financial services, broker receivables, or premium accounting.
• Experience with Zendesk or similar case-management platforms and Stripe, Paymentus, or another billing system.
• Experience with outsourced or offshore service teams, service-level expectations, audit support, internal controls, and evidence retention.
