Salary: $97,950–$201,100 per year

What you will do

• Review, analyze, accept, and decline ocean marine risks to support profitable underwriting.
• Underwrite and select new business while managing the existing renewal portfolio.
• Apply corrective measures to meet profitability expectations and use underwriting tools to determine classifications, rates, and premiums.
• Communicate with regional managers, product leaders, agents, and brokers regarding accounts, producers, systems, and procedures.
• Build relationships with key producers, identify cross-selling opportunities, and market hirify.global products competitively.
• Participate in audits and underwriting meetings, resolve premium audit disputes, and mentor less experienced underwriters.

Requirements

• US work authorization is required.
• Visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
• At least 5 years of current experience underwriting profitable ocean marine business.
• Technical knowledge reflecting progression through positions of increasing responsibility.
• Strong oral and written communication, presentation, analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel proficiency; flexibility to travel up to 25% when appropriate.
