Application Engineer - Electrical

Location: New Berlin, Wisconsin, United States; travel to customer locations estimated at less than 20%.

Salary: USD 68,000–80,000 yearly

What you will do

• Develop modernization solutions for standard and custom process cranes in the Americas region.
• Provide frontline engineering support for technical modernization inquiries.
• Perform material application, engineering analysis, and equipment layout work.
• Review specifications, select vendors, and prepare formal technical estimates.
• Develop pricing options and proposal descriptions focused on equipment productivity, reliability, customer processes, and return on investment.
• Visit customer locations as needed to verify equipment conditions and potential modernization solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Technical experience with mechanical or electrical design related to the overhead crane industry.
• Ability to process technical information and provide technical instructions.
• Strong engineering process, communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills required.

Nice to have

• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word.
