Senior Engineering Manager (AI)

Location: United States

Base salary: $190,500–$254,000 per year, with potential performance bonus, benefits, and other incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, hire, onboard, and develop a high-performing engineering team.
• Own delivery across web, mobile, and backend experiences from planning through production readiness and continuous improvement.
• Partner with Product and Design to translate customer needs into priorities, technical scope, and reliable releases.
• Set technical direction across architecture, maintainability, security, testing, observability, release practices, and incident management.
• Build foundations for scheduling, client management, payments, notifications, and integrations.
• Establish AI-assisted engineering workflows and help shape AI-powered customer experiences that preserve user control and trust.

Requirements

• Experience managing and growing engineering teams through recruiting, performance management, coaching, and career development.
• Experience delivering complex customer-facing products, including early-stage launches or significant new product development.
• Ability to guide architecture and engineering practices across web or mobile applications and backend systems.
• Experience setting technical vision, defining goals, making tradeoffs, and translating ambiguity into focused execution.
• Experience building reliable systems through testing, code review, observability, release practices, and incident management.
• Ability to apply AI-assisted development tools in production engineering workflows and communicate clearly with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with React Native and cross-platform mobile delivery.
• Experience with payments or scheduling systems, SaaS products for small businesses, or AI-powered product experiences.
