Automated Lead Maintenance Technician (Automation)

Location: Onsite at the Plymouth, Massachusetts facility. The role requires working a scheduled onsite shift and may occasionally involve supporting other locations.

Salary: $36.53–$54.80 per hour.

What you will do

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on conveyors, AutoStore automation, production equipment, and facility infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, motor, VFD, sensor, relay, and control system failures.
• Maintain AutoStore robotic systems through inspection, cleaning, calibration, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Support PLC-controlled equipment, equipment installation, startup, modification, commissioning, and facility improvement projects.
• Lead technical troubleshooting activities, mentor Maintenance Technicians, and coordinate maintenance work with Operations, Engineering, Facilities, Safety, vendors, and contractors.
• Document work orders, downtime, corrective actions, parts usage, inspections, and maintenance activities in CMMS while following OSHA, LOTO, Arc Flash, and confined-space procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and 5+ years of industrial maintenance, facilities maintenance, manufacturing, automation, fulfillment, or related technical experience.
• Experience troubleshooting automated material handling equipment, conveyor systems, production equipment, or industrial machinery.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, motors, controls, pneumatics, mechanical systems, PLC troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
• Experience reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation, plus experience using CMMS.
• Ability to mentor technicians, prioritize changing work assignments, communicate effectively, and solve problems in a high-volume operational environment.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, work at heights, use ladders and lifts, and stand or walk for extended periods.

Nice to have

• Technical degree or vocational certification in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, electrical technology, mechanical technology, or automation.
• Experience with AutoStore, robotics, automated warehouses, sortation equipment, PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, or industrial control systems.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30, lift certifications, Lean Manufacturing, TPM, or Reliability-Centered Maintenance experience.
