Maintenance Lead (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, adjust, and test machinery, production equipment, vehicles, power equipment, and building systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and ensure maintenance programs and safety and environmental procedures are followed.
• Lead root cause analysis teams, solve equipment problems, and reduce scrap and waste.
• Coach and train Maintenance Technicians and junior staff while sharing technical knowledge.
• Manage maintenance records and provide project management support for system planners and contractors.
• Partner with management to improve equipment reliability, processes, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing or distribution maintenance, including installation, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment.
• Practical experience with instrumentation, controls, switchgear, transformers, PLCs, protective relays, motor control centers, AC/DC power equipment, and monitoring systems.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, with knowledge of welding, plumbing, carpentry, or ladder logic programming.
• Basic CMMS knowledge, including exporting data, analyzing information, and creating problem-solving graphics.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, provide necessary hand tools, and work overtime on a flexible schedule.

Nice to have

• 8 or more years of maintenance experience and a mechanical, electrical, or electronics trade background, journeyman qualification, or equivalent technical degree.
• Welding calibration experience and knowledge of VFDs and PLCs.
• Experience leading people and managing through influence.
• Experience operating lathes, mills, and drill presses, plus PLC programming experience.
