Team Lead, Fleet Support Operations (Autonomous Vehicles)

Location: Foster City, California, United States; on-site. Travel to other Zoox locations may be required, with a travel requirement of 25%. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., first shift.

Base salary: $50–$67 per hour, excluding RSUs, Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights, and any sign-on bonus.

Zoox develops autonomous vehicles and operates a fleet requiring coordinated service, maintenance, testing, and operational support.

What you will do

• Lead Fleet Support Specialists and maintain accountability and high execution standards.
• Prioritize work requests and coordinate scheduling for repairs, reworks, maintenance, and testing.
• Monitor fleet health, review vehicle issues, create action plans, and maintain repair and performance records.
• Develop SOPs, technical documentation, reporting, and scalable workflows across locations.
• Coordinate with engineering, quality, logistics, scheduling, and program management teams on hardware and software handoffs.
• Inspect repair orders, support parts availability, close repair feedback loops, and help establish operations at new sites.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in a fast-paced service-based environment.
• Experience leading teams through performance management and maintaining high standards.
• Automotive service experience and familiarity with automotive repair processes and fundamentals.
• Strong organization, collaboration, communication, and multi-project management skills.
• Proficiency with Jira and Confluence; familiarity with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
• Ability to work on-site in Foster City, California, and travel to other Zoox locations as required.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Autonomous vehicle or advanced robotics experience.
