Product Designer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote, candidates must be based in the United States; preference for working hours overlapping with the U.S. East Coast.

What you will do

• Design experiences for individual, Premium, Families, and Business users across browser extensions, web and desktop apps, and iOS and Android apps.
• Improve onboarding, autofill, passkeys, secure sharing, account recovery, vault health reporting, and password-manager data imports.
• Create user flows, prototypes, and production-ready designs using the hirify.global design system.
• Use AI design tools for research, ideation, rapid prototyping, and iteration, including exploration of agentic workflows.
• Explain security concepts clearly to non-technical users and design for a wide range of technical knowledge.
• Run or support user interviews and usability tests, present work in critiques, and collaborate with product and engineering partners.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in product design or equivalent experience.
• Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end digital product design work.
• Strong interaction design skills, including sketching, wireframing, and prototyping.
• Proficiency in Figma and experience with component-based design systems.
• Experience using AI design tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, V0, or Figma AI, including effective prompt writing.
• Understanding of cybersecurity, online privacy, and open-source software, with strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience designing cybersecurity, identity, privacy, or AI-powered products.
• Experience designing for consumer and business customers.
• Experience with native iOS and Android apps or browser extensions.
• Front-end development or code-based prototyping with AI tools.
• Familiarity with Angular component libraries and WCAG accessibility guidelines.
