Lead Product Designer, AI

Location: Hybrid role based in Frisco, Texas; San Jose, California; Newport Beach, California; or New York City, United States. In-office attendance is required on an as-needed basis, with remaining work performed from a home office.

Salary: USD $135,910–$223,285 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

What you will do

• Lead the vision and design strategy for emerging AI-powered consumer products and experiences.
• Design trustworthy human-AI interactions involving assistants, autonomous agents, recommendations, automation, and decision support.
• Create interaction patterns for explainability, transparency, confidence, user control, and proactive protection.
• Use AI across research synthesis, ideation, prototyping, content creation, evaluation, and design exploration.
• Translate customer insights, technology trends, and market opportunities into product vision, strategy, and roadmap direction.
• Partner with Product Management, Engineering, Research, Data Science, AI/ML practitioners, and executive stakeholders while mentoring designers.

Requirements

• 8+ years of product design experience or equivalent experience delivering innovative digital products, platforms, services, or AI-driven experiences.
• Proven success leading complex initiatives from concept through launch and influencing product direction and executive stakeholders.
• Strong expertise in interaction design, systems thinking, service design, human-centered design, and product strategy.
• Experience designing AI-powered products, intelligent systems, agentic experiences, or human-AI interactions, including explainability and responsible user action.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary Product, Engineering, Research, Data Science, and AI/ML teams.
• Proficiency with Figma and modern design systems, supported by strong communication, storytelling, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
