Senior Manager of Technical Program Management (TPM)

Location: US - Remote Eligible; must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity. Occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites may be required by agreement with the manager.

Salary: $232,000–$282,000 USD base pay per year, with possible bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.

What you will do

• Lead a team of TPMs delivering multi-org programs across Data Infrastructure, Reliability Engineering, and Developer Experience.
• Drive phased rollouts, large-scale platform migrations, and deprecations from pilot through adoption.
• Define measurable success criteria, including availability, SLOs, CI and merge latency, cost per workload, and adoption.
• Lead reliability, incident follow-through, deployment-safety, and infrastructure efficiency programs.
• Prepare infrastructure for AI-driven scale, including AI-ready data platforms and agentic developer workflows.
• Establish planning, roadmap, dependency-mapping, and portfolio-reporting standards across Infrastructure.

Requirements

• 12+ years in technical program management, software engineering, or SRE, including 5+ years leading and mentoring TPMs or TPM managers.
• Strong technical grounding in at least two areas: distributed data systems, Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure, observability, or CI/CD and build systems.
• Experience leading multi-quarter, multi-team platform migrations or deprecations at scale.
• Experience delivering infrastructure for AI workloads or AI-assisted engineering.
• Deep familiarity with progressive delivery, canary releases, automated rollback, SLOs, error budgets, and incident management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical skills, business judgment, and stakeholder-influence skills.
