Staff Technical Program Manager (Release Management) (AI)

Location: Hybrid, with at least 3 days per week in an hirify.global office. Role locations include Mountain View, San Francisco, or Pittsburgh; travel to engineering centers in Mountain View, Terminal Operations in Texas, or Pittsburgh may be required.

Salary: $181,000–$290,000 per year for roles based in San Francisco or Mountain View; $163,000–$261,000 per year for roles based in Pittsburgh. Annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits are also available.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end release cycles, including release train schedules, branch cut-offs, build triage, and hotfix deployments across software and vehicle platforms.
• Coordinate release readiness across engineering, safety, hardware, and test operations teams.
• Automate release workflows and apply AI/ML tools for test-failure classification, triage, and anomaly detection.
• Architect and maintain automated release gates that assemble compliance evidence from structured data.
• Govern concurrent release branches across customers, hardware configurations, and Operational Design Domains.
• Maintain version-controlled release documentation, auditability, safety compliance, and change-control discipline.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in release management, technical program management, release engineering, or systems engineering.
• Experience with safety-regulated standards such as ISO 26262, DO-178C, or ISO 13485, including configuration management and change control.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD and build automation tools such as Buildkite or GitHub Actions and monorepo systems such as Bazel.
• Experience managing concurrent release branches, daily build and release triage, hotfixes, and software-hardware integrations.
• Ability to collaborate across engineering, safety, hardware, and test operations teams and provide occasional evening or weekend coverage.
• Ability to travel to engineering and terminal operations locations as business needs arise.

Nice to have

• Experience in autonomous vehicles, robotics, machine learning systems, or complex cyber-physical environments.
• Experience applying AI/ML to release operations and pipeline anomaly detection.
• Familiarity with AWS, feature flagging, progressive delivery, and service dependency ordering.
• Experience building self-service release tooling and tracking build health.
