Technical Program Manager, Public Sector (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY; hybrid policy requiring staff to be in an office at least 25% of the time. Candidates must be US persons.

Annual salary: $365,000–$435,000 USD

What you will do

• Own the program for delivering new Claude models and products into public sector environments.
• Sequence dependencies and tradeoffs across research, inference, capacity, cloud partners, safeguards, compliance, and engineering teams.
• Drive FedRAMP and similar authorization programs for public sector offerings.
• Plan model, API, application parity, and segment-specific product work across government environments.
• Establish operating rhythms for tracking workstreams, owners, dependencies, risks, status, escalations, and launches.
• Turn recurring deployment efforts into documented, repeatable processes.

Requirements

• Several years of technical program management experience delivering complex, cross-functional programs.
• Experience shipping software or infrastructure into regulated or restricted environments such as government clouds, air-gapped deployments, or FedRAMP-authorized environments.
• Ability to work effectively with infrastructure, machine learning, security, privacy, compliance, research, and product engineering teams.
• Strong organization, written and verbal communication, and ability to influence without authority.
• Must be a US person due to US Government agreements for these roles.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, and experience in a relevant field.

Nice to have

• Experience with public sector, defense, or government cloud programs.
• US security clearance or eligibility for a US security clearance.
