Technical Program Manager (Cloud Capacity Planning)

Location: Hybrid in Menlo Park, California or Bellevue, Washington, United States

Salary: $166,000–$238,000 annually; additional market-specific base salary, bonus, RSUs, and benefits may apply.

What you will do

• Own capacity planning across AWS, Azure, and GCP, including demand forecasting, resource modeling, procurement coordination, and delivery tracking.
• Align Engineering, Infrastructure, Finance, and cloud provider stakeholders on capacity needs for growth, seasonal demand, and product launches.
• Build forecasting frameworks, dashboards, metrics, and reporting for capacity health, infrastructure spend, and delivery timelines.
• Lead governance cadences, surface risks and tradeoffs, and drive resource allocation and prioritization decisions with engineering leadership.
• Identify bottlenecks and single points of failure, resolve constraints proactively, and improve infrastructure utilization and efficiency.
• Provide data-driven recommendations on cloud provider mix, reserved versus on-demand capacity, and long-term infrastructure investments.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in technical program management, infrastructure planning, capacity management, or a related discipline at a cloud-scale technology company.
• Experience managing programs across multiple cloud providers, including AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
• Strong understanding of compute, storage, networking, containerization, and resource orchestration.
• Experience with demand forecasting, resource modeling, and data-driven decision-making at scale.
• Ability to lead cross-functional programs with engineering, finance, operations, and VP- or Director-level stakeholders.
• Strong communication and program management skills, including executive communication, dependency tracking, risk management, milestone governance, and stakeholder alignment.

Nice to have

• Hyperscale infrastructure capacity planning experience, such as 10K+ node deployments.
• Familiarity with FinOps, data platforms, data warehousing, or database infrastructure.
• Experience with Grafana, Datadog, CloudWatch, or equivalent observability tools.
• Experience building automated capacity planning systems and working in fast-growth, high-ambiguity environments.
