Credit Risk Review Advisor - Commercial Lending

Location: In-office in Pittsburgh, PA; Cleveland, OH; Philadelphia, PA; Birmingham, AL; Charlotte, NC; Wilmington, DE; New York City; or Raleigh, NC

Base salary: $87,500–$202,800 annually, plus incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Conduct independent file reviews of moderately complex commercial credit transactions, facility structures, and underwriting processes.
• Assess borrower risk ratings, credit administration, policy compliance, and the materiality of transaction risks.
• Identify portfolio issues, emerging risks, trends, and root causes affecting commercial credit portfolios.
• Prepare work papers, supporting documentation, review plans, findings, and recommendations.
• Follow up on examination findings with business partners and communicate review objectives and conclusions.
• Apply credit-cycle knowledge and economic research to evaluate key risk and performance metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or a comparable combination of education, certification, and relevant experience.
• 5+ years of relevant credit risk or credit underwriting experience, preferably with larger and more complex commercial transactions.
• Experience in areas such as Commercial & Industrial, commercial real estate, corporate banking, leveraged lending, or middle-market banking.
• Strong knowledge of commercial credit extension, credit management, and risk review practices.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to handle difficult stakeholder conversations.
