Salary: $96,600–$144,900 per year

What you will do

  • Monitor the distribution electric system in real time using ADMS, OMS, SCADA, NMS, GIS, and related operational systems.
  • Review planned switching requests, analyze system impacts and feasibility, and prepare switching orders.
  • Support emergency switching, outage restoration, storm response, and incident command activities.
  • Monitor distribution automation alarms, system status changes, equipment designations, and switching compliance.
  • Run ADMS analyses including power flow, fault location analysis, and feeder load management.
  • Coordinate with field operations, planning, engineering, construction, technical services, dispatch, and customer groups.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED and 4+ years of experience in electric utility operations or engineering.
  • Knowledge of distribution and transmission lines, substations, troubleshooting, maintenance, operational activities, electrical concepts, and single-line diagrams.
  • Daily experience with iTOA, NMS, GIS, SAP, CIS, ESO1, SCADA, CYME, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to assess emergency situations, make sound decisions, organize work, and coordinate stakeholders with competing priorities.
  • Valid driver's license and completion of NIPSCO General Order training.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI.
