TL;DR
Land Management, Advisor (Real Estate/Utility Infrastructure): Advising on land management requirements, property rights, and complex real estate transactions supporting critical energy infrastructure projects with an accent on rights checks, land-use conflicts, GIS analysis, and stakeholder coordination. Focus on resolving encroachments and operational disputes, interpreting legal and parcel data, and improving land management procedures and workflows.
Location: Hybrid in Pomona, California; employees are generally required to work and reside in California. The role reports to an SCE facility for a set number of days and allows remote work on the remaining days. Relocation does not apply.
Salary: $129,200–$193,700 per year

What you will do
- Advise internal customers on land management requirements and long-term land-use constraints.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for land-related projects and collaborate with project teams and external parties.
- Resolve complex land-use conflicts, unauthorized encroachments, and operational disputes, consulting with the Law Department when needed.
- Conduct rights checks, site visits, property analysis, and map and parcel-data interpretation using GIS and land management tools.
- Improve land management procedures and workflows and provide guidance to junior team members.
- Protect company assets and handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity.
Requirements
- Seven or more years of experience with right-of-way or real property transactions and real estate acquisitions.
- Valid Class C driver’s license.
- Experience with land rights agreements, easements, encroachments, relocations, consents, quitclaims, and other complex real property transactions.
- Knowledge of utility land management, title review, rights-of-way, contract administration, and property portfolio coordination.
- Ability to interpret legal descriptions, title reports, contracts, easements, and environmental assessments.
- Strong project management, leadership, negotiation, influence, customer service, and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to have
- IRWA certification such as RWP or SR/WA.
- California Real Estate Broker/Agent License or Notary Public certification.
- Experience with LandVision, Google Earth Pro, tract maps, parcel maps, Microsoft Office, and SharePoint.
