Accountant (Aerospace)

Location: Irvine, California, United States; onsite professional office and manufacturing environment

Salary: $70,000–$85,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Process, verify, and reconcile invoices, vendor statements, employee expense reports, and related documentation.
• Code expenses to general ledger accounts and cost centers and maintain accounting ledgers.
• Support month-end close by reconciling inventory to the general ledger and preparing inventory and cost reports.
• Perform cost analytics for purchased and manufactured materials and services across multiple cost objects.
• Prepare vendor payments, monitor discount opportunities, verify tax identification information, and resolve purchase order, contract, invoice, and payment discrepancies.
• Provide management reports on unpaid invoices and cash balances and collaborate with Manufacturing, Accounting, Program Finance, Program Management, Procurement, and Cost Estimating.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 2–4 years of accounting experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Solid understanding of accounts payable and general ledger accounting principles and practices.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently after training.
• Must be a U.S. Person, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. government authorizations for space technology export compliance; national security clearance may be required.
