Expert Tech Solution Architect - HR (m/f/d)

Location: Munich, Germany. Hybrid, office-first work model; regular collaboration with colleagues across European, APAC and US time zones is required.

What you will do

• Shape the target HR technology architecture across core HRIS, payroll, time and attendance, talent, recruiting, document management, and surrounding enterprise systems.
• Drive global HRIS transformation initiatives, including platform redesigns, revamps, potential migrations, solution design, integrations, testing, cutover, and stabilization.
• Define HRIS integrations and data flows using REST APIs, OAuth 2.0, webhooks, SFTP, middleware, and event-driven architectures.
• Establish HR technology governance and control frameworks covering ownership, RACI, security roles, least privilege, segregation of duties, audit trails, and change governance.
• Bridge HR functional and technology teams by translating business requirements into target-state solutions and executable implementation designs.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in HR technology transformation, HRIS, solution architecture, enterprise architecture, or HRIS delivery.
• Strong HR domain and Workday expertise, including experience with core HRIS, payroll, time and attendance, talent, recruiting, and related enterprise systems.
• End-to-end experience delivering Workday redesigns, platform revamps, or migrations; hands-on configuration, integration, or migration experience is valuable.
• Strong knowledge of systems architecture, REST APIs, OAuth 2.0, webhooks, SFTP, middleware, data flows, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with HR target operating models, governance, security and role models, internal controls, data privacy, and regulated multi-country environments.
• Fluent English and availability to work from Munich with regular collaboration across European, APAC and US time zones.
