Software Architect (d/f/m)

hirify.global develops aerospace and defence systems, including ground mission systems for aircraft electronic warfare operations.

What you will do

• Analyze use cases and stakeholder needs with the system engineering team.
• Define software architectures, evaluate alternatives, and select suitable solutions.
• Design and implement desktop GUI solutions supporting mission data production and verification.
• Develop mission data preparation and verification solutions using Java, Eclipse RCP, and OSGi.
• Prepare and execute software tests for different verification and validation levels.
• Integrate development activities into the software development lifecycle and applicable standards.

Requirements

• University degree in computer science or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience with object-oriented analysis and design using UML.
• Programming skills in Java, C, and Python.
• Experience implementing desktop application GUIs with EMF and SWT.
• Knowledge of Eclipse IDE, Git, Maven, SonarQube, data model design, and relational databases such as Oracle.
• Fluent English is required. German knowledge is advantageous.

Nice to have

• Experience with electronic warfare and defensive aids systems.
• Knowledge of agile software development processes and methods.
• Proactive communication and effective teamwork skills.
