Software Architect (Space Ground Systems)

What you will do

• Plan and evaluate software and data architectures and data flows in the ground segment.
• Engineer requirements and define system integration logic.
• Define system interfaces and coordinate with customers.
• Select software components and engineering tools.
• Execute verification and validation activities and support functional error investigations.
• Collaborate with the ground systems and human spaceflight team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or aerospace engineering.
• Professional experience in software projects, software architecture, system architecture, requirements engineering, and interface specification.
• Experience with functional verification and verification and validation processes.
• Proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work collaboratively with strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of Linux, UML, MBSE/CAMEO, space-project communication protocols, and ground system software is expected; programming knowledge in C, Java, Python, and Shell is relevant.
