Designer III (Mechanical Design)

Location: Lexington, Kentucky, United States. Hybrid schedule with onsite work Monday through Thursday and flexible work location on Fridays. Occasional travel may be required.

Annual base salary: $52,300.00–$74,199.99.

What you will do

• Use proprietary software to create and maintain part logic for customer-specific manufacturing units.
• Apply Boolean logic and established design rules to configure product designs and drive bills of materials.
• Interpret engineering instructions, drawings, schematics, and related documentation.
• Produce design documentation and maintain product lifecycle management records.
• Review designs and orders for accuracy before release to manufacturing.
• Support larger design projects, collaborate with engineers and designers, and complete assigned work on time.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in mechanical design or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of computer-aided design and drafting principles.
• Ability to read and interpret technical instructions, drawings, and schematics.
• Exposure to Boolean logic, rules-based modeling, or programming concepts.
• Computer science coursework or programming experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel formulas, with strong attention to detail.
