Designer III (HVAC)

Location: Pueblo, Colorado, United States. Monday through Thursday onsite; Fridays offer flexible work location.

Salary: $56,800–$101,570 annual base salary or hourly base pay range; compensation type: hourly.

What you will do

• Develop detailed 3D models and engineering documentation for HVAC components and assemblies.
• Translate product requirements into practical, manufacturable design solutions.
• Support product development from concept through prototyping, testing, validation, and production release.
• Create innovative designs that improve efficiency, reliability, serviceability, and customer value.
• Maintain bills of materials, drawing revisions, and controlled engineering documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, quality, laboratory, and project teams while leading smaller project tasks and resolving design issues.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Mechanical Design or Drafting with at least 5 years of mechanical design experience, or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with at least 3 years of mechanical design experience.
• Experience in HVAC, industrial equipment, or a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as PTC Creo, SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of GD&T, design for manufacturability, tolerance analysis, engineering change management, and PLM, ERP, or document control systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow company safety and security requirements.

• Working knowledge of Model-Based Definition (MBD).
