Designer III (HVAC)

Location: Lexington, Kentucky, United States. Hybrid schedule: onsite Monday through Thursday; flexible work location on Fridays. Occasional travel may be required.

Annual base salary: $52,300.00–$74,199.99. Compensation type: exception hourly.

What you will do

• Create 3D models of customer-specific air-handler units using Creo Parametric and proprietary design software.
• Modify bills of material to ensure manufacturing has all required components for each build.
• Interpret engineering instructions, drawings, schematics, and related technical documentation.
• Produce CAD and product lifecycle management documentation and review designs and orders before release to manufacturing.
• Support manufacturing by resolving design and data errors through problem logs.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to develop solutions for performance, acoustic, thermal, and customer-specific requirements.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Mechanical Design or a related field.
• Experience with computer-aided design and drafting principles.
• Experience with 3D CAD software such as Inventor, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, or Creo Parametric.
• Ability to read and interpret technical instructions, drawings, and schematics.
• Exposure to design for manufacturing and manufacturing constraints.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel formulas, with strong attention to detail.
