Transportation Specialist

Location: Hybrid role based in Fort Worth, TX; Groveport, OH; Sparks, NV; or Franklin, NH. The position requires working in the Fort Worth office three days per week, Monday through Wednesday, with remote work permitted on Thursday and Friday.

What you will do

• Analyze transportation performance, freight spend, service trends, carrier scorecards, and operational metrics to identify cost, service, and network optimization opportunities.
• Develop transportation reports, dashboards, KPIs, and data visualizations for operational and strategic decision-making.
• Support transportation projects, process improvements, system implementations, upgrades, and user acceptance testing across ERP, TMS, carrier, and logistics platforms.
• Coordinate domestic transportation activities across parcel, LTL, truckload, expedited, inbound, outbound, and intercompany shipments.
• Lead shipment visibility, exception management, root cause analysis, corrective actions, freight audits, invoice reviews, and transportation reporting.
• Support carrier procurement, freight forwarder coordination, customs documentation, international air and ocean freight, and cross-border transportation activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or a related field; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• At least 3 years of experience in transportation, logistics, shipping, or related operations.
• Knowledge of transportation modes, equipment sizes, fleet operations, and transportation data analysis.
• Strong organization, customer service, problem-solving, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
• Must establish employment eligibility in the United States and successfully complete background checks, drug screening, and required pre-employment testing.
• Ability to follow applicable laws, regulations, safety practices, company policies, and transportation compliance requirements.

Nice to have

• APICS certification, including CPIM or CSCP.
• SAP experience.
• Familiarity with international transportation processes, equipment, and terminology.
