Engineering Specialist IV (Logistics)

Location: Aurora, Colorado, United States; onsite at the hirify.global location five days a week. Travel of up to 75% may be required.

Salary: $4,324.00–$11,309.65 per month.

What you will do

• Develop district engineering and operational plans to improve facility efficiency, productivity, service, and cost performance.
• Identify facility inefficiencies through site observations, root cause analysis, and corrective-action planning.
• Create network alignment plans, capacity plans, volume projections, labor standards, and monthly peak-operating plans.
• Oversee district changes including expansions, relocations, and other facility projects.
• Evaluate material-handling projects and prepare financial analyses to support facility expansion recommendations.
• Train management and provide subject-matter expertise on operational processes, systems, technology upgrades, and SQI metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in transportation, logistics, science, technology, engineering, or mathematics, or an approved combination of education and experience.
• Relevant transportation operations-management experience or industrial engineering experience; a relevant degree may allow no prior industrial engineering experience, while other candidates need one year of Area, Sort, or P&D Manager experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, web-based applications, and Business Objects.
• Strong communication, presentation, organization, time-management, problem-solving, and cost-justification skills.
• Knowledge of material handling and computer-aided design is preferred.
• Ability to work onsite at the Aurora hirify.global location five days per week and travel up to 75%.
