Procurement Specialist (Supply Chain)

Location: San Diego, California; onsite five days a week

Salary: $112,704–$169,056 per year

What you will do

• Manage strategic and complex supplier relationships, including purchase orders, business reviews, issue resolution, and supplier strategy.
• Evaluate, improve, and sustain supplier performance across quality, cost, delivery, lead time, and project support.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities through cost modeling and total-cost-of-ownership analysis.
• Lead commercial negotiations and manage contract execution and maintenance.
• Lead cross-functional supplier development, problem resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support new product introduction, global strategic sourcing, supplier selection, and flexible capacity planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 5–7 years of experience.
• Experience with ERP software and proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio.
• Fluent business English in written and oral form.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, communication, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to influence suppliers and internal clients, lead teams, manage change, and identify root causes and business risks.
• Ability to work onsite in San Diego five days per week.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Supply chain certification from APICS, IIPMR, ISCEA, ISM, or a similar institution.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
